Location: Virtually on Zoom

Cost: $15

This class will delve into the fascinating world of deities, providing a deeper understanding of who they are and how to work with them in your spiritual practice. We’ll explore how these divine figures have evolved across cultures and through history. Out of the hundreds of deities revered worldwide, we will focus on 16—drawing from Egyptian, Greek, Chinese, Celtic, Norse, and Indian traditions—to illuminate their significance and inspire your connection with the divine.

A deity, or god, is a supernatural being regarded as divine or sacred, often embodying profound wisdom, light, and guidance for humanity. Across cultures and ages, deities have been viewed as powerful entities who shaped the world, influenced natural phenomena, and offered spiritual insight. Over time, the concept of deities has evolved, reflecting the values, beliefs, and needs of the societies that revered them.

In ancient times, gods and goddesses were often seen as walking among humans, directly influencing their lives. For example, early Egyptian deities like Ra or Isis were integral to the daily life and afterlife beliefs of their followers. Similarly, Greek and Roman pantheons introduced the idea of anthropomorphic gods with human-like emotions and narratives. Celtic and Norse deities embodied the mysteries of nature and the cosmos, while Chinese and Indian traditions intertwined their deities with cosmic order, balance, and spiritual transcendence.
